One of the strengths of Crusoe Garden Rooms is our flexibility created by being one small, highly experienced team headed by Trevor who has been in the carpentry business in one form or another, ranging from the design and fabrication of bespoke kitchens to a complete chapel restoration, for over forty years. You, the client, will not be assigned a building team - you will be dealing with Trevor throughout the whole process of arranging and confirming the build and the build itself.
As a team we can work around and with many different trades allowing our customers to use the existing quality workmen they already know and trust, such as blind fitters, sound system installers, landscapers and plumbers. Many of our testimonials attest to this.
Back in 2013 after a few email exchanges a client came to visit our own garden office/ showroom in Nottingham from Henley. She brought with her a glass tile from a collection that she wanted incorporating in her garden room in some way. My iPad drawing tool ‘Zen Brush’ came in handy and I created the drawing you can see above.
In five days on site Trev and team of Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited created the beautiful garden room you can see below. Quite literally turning dreams to reality.
Quite a few of our clients are not sure what we mean by ‘bespoke’. At Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited it does not mean ticking lots of boxes to indicate what you require, increasing the price as you go! It means having a look at our six main designs, then our extensive gallery and also letting us know of any id...
We love working closely with our clients to build them their perfect garden room, whether that is a garden office, artist studio or playroom, we always strive to create the most usable space for each and every client.
This recent studio build was no exception. We were approached by a local couple who had decided to follow their dreams and build a garden room. The design included two studios, one for the artist and one for the musician, each with a separate entrance. We used our skills and experience to design and build a lovely usable garden room that is fully insulated and perfect for escaping to all year round.
As the 100th build approaches for Crusoe Garden Rooms it is making me think back to how it all started. In fact it all began with a set of second hand sliding doors! The set of white ones from a building project that my husband, Trev, could not bear to take to the tip can be seen below in one of our first pictures.
After spending all his working life using wood it was a natural progression for Trev to fill some dead space in our garden with a beautiful building in which to site his beloved drum kit! And so ‘Crusoe Garden Rooms’ was born.
The picture below shows our beautiful, now extended, garden room which serves as the original music room but also as our office, oh and log store. Note the new grey doors! We use our own garden room as our showroom so you can come and see a real o...
We received some great feedback from a client who was searching for the perfect artist studio. She came to us at Crusoe Garden Rooms and we worked with her to design and build her studio.
Her feedback says it all!
'Thank you to Trevor, Jack and Floyd for building my studio, you have done a fantastic job and were also a real pleasure to have around. The studio looks (and smells) great, is warm and peaceful and every time I step in there it feels like such a wonderful space to work. We definitely made the right choice to get this build done with Crusoe Garden Rooms and would recommend this hard working professional and creative team of builders to anyone. '
